About — Deadlock Wiki

What this site is

Deadlock is Valve's third-person 6v6 MOBA shooter, distributed free to play on Steam for PC and currently in an invite-only closed test. Deadlock Wiki is an independent, volunteer-run reference site for players who are already inside that test.

We write the things a player cannot look up mid-match: what a hero is actually good for, how the souls economy and the in-game item shop interact, which lane and objective decisions decide a match, and what changed after a patch. Guides are written in English for an international audience.

We are not affiliated with Valve

This is a fan project. Deadlock, the Deadlock logo, the names of its heroes and all related game content are trademarks and copyrights of Valve Corporation. Valve has not reviewed, endorsed or sponsored this site, and we have no affiliation with, employment by or connection to Valve. We run no game servers and hand out no invitations.

How we handle facts

Deadlock is a live game that changes often, so sourcing matters more than confidence. Our order of preference:

  • Official Valve material first: patch notes and official announcements, plus the Steam store page for Deadlock (appid 1422450).
  • Community wikis and fan databases are treated as leads, not as sources. When they disagree with official material, official material wins.
  • Numbers that change with every patch — dates, counts, unlock schedules, player counts — are written down with their source and the date we checked, rather than quoted from memory.
  • Anything we could not verify is left out or labelled as unconfirmed instead of being smoothed into a confident sentence.

If a page is out of date, that is a bug on our side. Tell us and we will fix it or remove it.

Corrections and contact

Spot an error, a dead link, or a claim that does not match the current patch? Email us with the page URL and, if you have one, the official source that contradicts it. Reports from inside the closed test are especially welcome, because the test build can differ from what public write-ups describe.
